About Mount Clear
Mount Clear is a semi-rural suburb of Ballarat,
Victoria, Australia south of the CBD in the
Canadian Creek Valley.
Mount Clear began as a small mining community,
however it expanded rapidly in the latter 20th
Century to become part of the Ballarat urban area
and much subdivision activity continues.
Mount Clear is a suburb of South Western Victoria,
Victoria and is about 100 kms west-northwest of
VIC's capital city of Melbourne. In the 2011
Australian census the population of Mount Clear
was 2,905 when there were 1,500 Females and
1,405 Males living there. The median age for
people living in Mount Clear was 36.
